With the launch of iOS 5 and iCloud, I am finally able to leave Google Calendar behind and start synching my contacts (as Google Contacts was always a flaming pile of cow dung). With a move like this, one has to pop over his or her calendar entries.
Now when you think about exporting data from your Google Calendar, you would instantly want to go to
calendar.google.com and find the export button, and jump into iCloud to use an import button. Luckily, there seems to be a simpler way.
Basically, it boils down to two actions:
- Export an
.icsfrom your Google Calendar in iCal.
- Import the
.icsto a new calendar in iCal.
