Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…

This morning – while in the shower – I got a funny idea to create a HTML5 / CSS3 holiday card. Now, before you get all excited, there’s a small chance that will actually see the light of day, due to time constraints.

But while having my initial go at it, I decided I needed CSS3 Snow. After some googling I found Natalie Downe‘s CSS3 Snow, and decided to create a slightly alternate version.

The snowflakes get their fluffiness from their – slightly abused – box-shadow property, and they’ve got a bit more animation dynamics from a wiggle animation. (of which I just thought about an optimization which might be implemented later)

Happy Holidays, Folks!
